The Penn Station restaurant on Memorial Blvd. behind McAllister's was robbed on Tuesday night around 5:45. A worker in the eatery told police the robber was a black male wearing a long sleeved red shirt or jacket with a black scarf covering his face.

The employee said that the minute the man walked in, she knew what was about to happen. She said that she quickly grabbed the phone to call the police at which time the man came around the counter and tried to wrestle the phone out of her hands. She then threw the phone to a co-worker who dialed 9-1-1.

The subject asked where the money was to which the employee replied, "The cash register." The bandit then opened the register taking whatever cash was in the drawer. The man then fled the scene.

Reports indicate the culprit could be the same man tied to the attempted robbery at the Jackson Motel that unfolded just minutes before.

Again, no arrests have been made at this point.
