RuCo Farmer's Market Classes This Week

The Rutherford County Farmers' Market is open Tuesdays and Fridays from 7 a.m. to noon at the Lane Agri-Park Community Center, 315 John R. Rice Blvd, Murfreesboro. As always, it is a producer only market.

Here are the free weekly classes at the Farmer's Market for the upcoming week:

June 9th

"Backyard Chickens" is the topic on Tuesday, June 9th. The class is presented by Doug Berny from the Farm at Four Springs. The focus of the hour long presentation is how to be successful at raising backyard chickens for egg production. This Rutherford County Farmer's Market class is free and begins at 9 a.m. in the Lane Agri-Park Community Center, located at 315 John R. Rice Blvd.

June 12th

On Friday, June 12th, the topic is "The Top 10 Tree and Shrub Problems." This class starts at 9 a.m. as well. It will be given by Extension Agent Mitchell Mote. This will a presentation on how to determine what is wrong with the plants, what to do about it and when to throw in the towel :(.
