Cedar Crest Golf Course hosted the 8th Annual Rutherford County Middle School Golf tournament on Saturday. Nine middle school girl teams and eleven middle school boy teams making a total of 99 players for this year's tournament. The weather started off chilly but ended with a warm sunny day.

Stewart Creek girls won the county tournament with a 101. Second place went to Central Magnet with a 102. Stewart Creek girls walked away with three of the four individual awards for the county. Individual awards went to Elise Jones 1st place (Central - 46), Peyton Hammonds 2ndplace (Stewart Creek - 48), Kat Harper 3rd place (Stewart Creek - 53), Kelsey Cooper 4th place (Stewart Creek - 54) and Kylie Hammonds - 56.

Stewart Creek boys playing in the county tournament were Wesley Sandlin -48, Benneth Walden -53, Trey Hook -58, Devyn McEachron -59, Carson McCord -59, Peyton Cooper -61, Zane Lloyd -62 and Austin Music - 62 with a team score of 218.

Siegel boys won 1st place with a 178, second place went to Oakland with a 190. Individual awards went to Josh Halasz 1st place (Siegel -44), RJ Heale 2nd place (Rock Springs- 44), Alex Polzin 3rdplace (Siegel - 44), Brendan Jackson 4th place (Oakland - 44), Will LaLance 5th place (Siegel - 45).

Rutherford teams will play in the District tournament on Monday, May 3th at Champions Run.
