Rutherford County continues to have 3rd lowest unemployment rate in TN

Estimates for February 2017 reveal Tennessee's county unemployment rates have decreased in all 95 counties, according to data released Thursday by the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development (TDLWD).

Currently, Williamson County has the lowest unemployment rate at 3.5% followed by Davidson County at 3.6% and then Rutherford County at number three on the list with a 3.7% unemployment rate.

Right now, Rhea County, TN has the highest unemployment rate at 8.8%. At 11.2 percent, Lake County had the state's highest unemployment rate in January 2017. The estimated county rate is now 8.5 percent, nearly a three-point decrease.
