Rutherford County property sales are UP - How do we compare to other counties?

Rutherford County is doing well.

According to Chandler Property Reporting Service, Rutherford County saw an increase in home sales of 8% over the previous period last year. Year to date sales are up 5.5% for 2014 and home prices have increased by 9%.

Property Assessor Rob Mitchell told WGNS in an email, "Despite this increase in activity; your Property Assessors office returned over $470,000 back to the general fund in budgetary savings from our previous year's budget. Our commitment is to continually utilize the latest technology and employee training to save Rutherford County taxpayers money."
