Rutherford County Ranks 6th in the Nation for Positive Job Growth - Who is Number Uno?

Rutherford County Assessor of Property Rob Mitchell notified WGNS that according to the US Bureau of Labor and Statistics, Rutherford County Tennessee has the 6th largest increase in employment of any county in the nation. Mitchell stated, “This is great news!”

The number one county in the nation with the highest increase in employment is Fort Bend, Texas. The population in Fort Bend stands at nearly 600,000 residents. The county is 886 square miles. In comparison, Rutherford County has a population of an estimated 300,000. Our county is 624 square miles in size.
