(Murfreesboro) There was an early blaze around 4:00AM Saturday morning at 1319 Dodd Trail. That home is near the Stones River Greenway and Cason Lane Trailhead.

Murfreesboro Fire and Rescue's District 9, Engine 10, and Rescue 2 reported flames were shooting from the back of the house and roof.

According to Battalion Chief Daryl Alexander, "Crews were able to get a quick stop on the fire, but as quickly as the fire spread through the attic, the home will still likely be a total loss."

The American Red Cross arrived on scene to offer assistance to the three residents, who were all transported by Rutherford County Emergency Medical Services to the ER at Saint Thomas Rutherford with possible smoke inhalation.

Assistant Fire Marshal Michael Bartlett was called to the scene and is conducting a routine investigation.
