(MURFREESBORO) Saturday (9/21/2019) morning was perfect for 2019 Heart Walk at Murfreesboro Medical Clinic and around the pond at Gateway Island. The presenting sponsor is Vanderbilt Heart.

American Heart Association Executive Director Kelley Tune told NewsRadio WGNS . . .


Studies show people in optimal ranges of the American Heart Association's Life's Simple 7 have a lower risk of heart disease and stroke compared to people in poor ranges. The seven areas include:

  1. Stop Smoking
  2. Eat Better
  3. Get Active
  4. Lose Weight
  5. Manage Blood Pressure
  6. Control Cholesterol
  7. Reduce Blood Sugar



In fact, Jamie Gilliland commented on how Murfreesboro Medical Clinic helps with those areas . . .
