Scam sucks $28,700 out of Murfreesboro victims bank account

A woman living in Murfreesboro who is from another country called police after she was scammed out of $28,700.

According to the 46 year old victim, she received a call from a man who told her she needed a "Diplomatic Package." Without question, she agreed to pay for it.

The woman told police that she sent the man $28,700 in money orders, which she made copies of each and every one.


A possible suspect in Marietta, Georgia has been named and detectives in Murfreesboro are looking into the situation.

No arrests have been made.
