School bells will ring this week first for Murfreesboro City students, then Rutherford County students.
Students in the city's schools, in grades one through six, will go to their zoned school on Wednesday for their first half-day of class. The first full day of school in the city will be Monday, August 10th.
Rutherford County students will go to their zoned schools on Friday for a two-hour day. Their first full day of classes will also be Monday, August 10th.
In addition, Rutherford County Schools will cut the ribbon on the new Eagleville addition Tuesday morning at 9. The school, located at 500 Highway 99 in Eagleville, will now have 12 new classrooms, science labs, rehearsal space for the band and choir and an auditorium.
