Drivers will be checked for wearing seat belts during a Seatbelt Checkpoint from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 27 at the 700 block of South Main Street in Eagleville.
Sheriff's deputies and Eagleville Police will slow traffic only when they observe someone not wearing a seatbelt or other seat belt violations, said Sheriff's Cpl. Mark Mack of the Active Crime Enforcement Unit.
"The Seatbelt Checkpoint is an effort to raise awareness of the importance of seatbelt use as part of our participation with the Tennessee Highway Safety Office's 'Seat Belts are for Everyone' campaign," Mack said.
Three Eagleville Police Officers and four deputies with the ACE team will participate.
