State Senator Bill Ketron (R-Murfreesboro) announced today that the Rutherford County Library System will receive a Training Opportunities for the Public (TOP) grant in the amount of $1,919.50 from the Tennessee Secretary of State. The money provides funding for the trainers, hardware, and software for free technology training classes for the community.
The grant follows funding made possible by the Tennessee Broadband Accessibility Act, which was sponsored by Senator Ketron. The new law aims to increase access to broadband internet in rural communities.
"I look forward to seeing the fruition of these technology training classes in our community, and I encourage everyone to take advantage of this great program at the library," added Ketron.
