The Tennessee Highway Patrol responded to a serious accident on I-24 Tuesday afternoon. The wreck happened at the 70-mile marker near state route 840. The accident involved an oversized commercial dump truck and a four door sedan.

One person was flown by Life Flight Helicopter to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville with serious injuries. We will have more information about the investigation in this accident on Wednesday evening.

About 30-miles away from the Murfreesboro accident, the Highway Patrol was busy with two more wrecks, one involving a tractor trailer truck in Coffee County. The wreck that involved a tractor-trailer was near Exit 105 in the eastbound lane. As traffic started to flow another collision occurred near mile-marker 104.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol was in charge of investigating all three collisions in both Rutherford and Coffee Counties.
