(MURFREESBORO) The Murfreesboro Police Fatal Accident Crash Team (FACT) is investigating a serious two vehicle crash that occurred just after 8:00 o'clock Saturday (4/11/2020) night at the intersection of South Church Street and Highfield Drive. That's the Shelbyville Highway (231-South), between Camino Real and Walmart.
Murfreesboro Fire Rescue Department used a hydraulic spreader to extricate the driver from the car, who was then flown by LifeFlight helicopter to Vanderbilt Medical Center. Officials describe that person's injuries as serious.
Two people in the SUV were taken by Rutherford County EMS to Ascension St. Thomas Rutherford with minor injuries.
