Serious Domestic Incident On Crystal Bear Trail

Murfreesboro Police secure the crime scene on Crystal Bear Trail.

Around 11:30 Thursday (3/7/2019) night, Murfreesboro police responded to a report of a domestic shooting and stabbing on Crystal Bear Trail.

Murfreesboro Police spokesperson Larry Flowers told WGNS, "Officers found two individuals with injuries: one shot and the other had beem stabbed. Both were transported to the ER at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital."

On Thursday night, the shooting victim was taken to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville where they were listed in critical condition. The stabbing victim was treated for injuries at Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital.

Public Information Officer Flowers stressed, "This was not a random act, the individuals knew each other, so there is no danger to the public."

This is an on-going investigation, and at this time additional information is not available. NewsRadio WGNS will keep you informed.

For those trying to determine where Crystal Bear Trail is located, it is an approximate 3-block long street that connects Southridge Boulevard and Windwalker Court. This is in the area of South Church Street, in a subdivision behind the Waterford Apartments and O'Reilley Auto Parts.
