Several Auto Burglaries in M'boro

There has been rash of auto burglaries in Murfreesboro. Police responded to South Rutherford Boulevard Monday around 5:40am after a woman called to say she saw someone going through her vehicle when leaving for work. The victim reported when the man saw her, he fled toward Hasting Street. There was nothing missing from the vehicle.

Also in the same area, police responded to a call of around 6am Monday. The victim in this incident reported a few items missing from the vehicle. There were no signs of forced entry.

In addition, around 7:30 Monday, M-P-D received a call from a complaintant on Brinkley Drive that stated during the night, his vehicle was broken into. Several items were taken from the vehicle and the side window was broken out. The work truck was missing several tools, including a nail gun, saw and other construction tools.

It's not known whether these incidents are related and there are no suspects in the seperate cases. Authorities advise locking up vehicles and keeping them parked in well-lighted areas.
