Several Rape Investigations On-Going

Murfreesboro Police detectives are busy with at least four new rape investigations. NewsRadio WGNS' Bryan Barrett has details:



An 18-year old Chattanooga native told police Sunday night she had been raped. Officer Eric DeLeon responded to the call at 860 N.W. Broad Street, which is the Big Lots shopping center.

Earlier in the day, Officer Angela Alexander reports a 21-year old woman told her she was raped at "The Point" on North Tennessee Boulevard Friday night by a guy she met there. The victim also said the man stole her credit card.


A 19-year old woman reported being raped at the Vie Apartments on Wenlon on November 2nd. The victim's statement was taken at the police headquarters.

A 30-year old woman reported to police at their South Church Street headquarters she was raped by another woman around 12:30pm Friday.

All of the cases are being investigated by Murfreesboro Police detectives.
