A convicted sex offender has been named in the investigation of a sexual assault case being worked by Murfreesboro detectives. 49 Year old Terry Person who is on the TBI registry for a sexual battery conviction in 1988, has recently been named as a suspect in a sexual assault related case involving a 19 year old victim.

Police picked up Person on a charge of “Violation of the Sex Offender Registry” and not on any charges dealing with the alleged sexual assault case that was reported to Murfreesboro Police. That case is evidently still under investigation and no charges have been filed.
