In an area frequented by families and children, a man inappropriately touched a woman and then fled the scene. The female victim was walking back to her apartment from the Kohl’s Department Store when a Hispanic male approached her on foot. The man was wearing a white baseball cap and a blue shirt. The subject asked the victim what her name was and grabbed her buttocks. The female quickly told the man to leave her alone and that she would be calling 9-1-1. The man grabbed her a second time so the woman took a swing at the culprit with a bag that she was carrying. The man, who was on foot, then ran towards the back of Kohl’s along St. Andrew's Drive. By the time police arrived on the scene, the subject was gone.

At this point this is the only sexual assault reported in the area of Kohl’s in the past three months. The case has been labeled as a simple assault and as a sexual battery. No arrests have been made.
