The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Sunday night located and charged the suspect responsible for a murder that occurred this weekend in Bedford County.

Ronnie Dewayne Osler, 46, of Jackson, Tenn. was charged with one count of criminal homicide as well as violating his probation. Other charges are currently pending against him. On September 21, 2013 at approximately 1:49 pm, Jonathan Cody Minnick, 23, was discovered dead by his roommate at his residence located at 502 Vandy Ave in Shelbyville, Tenn. It was determined from an autopsy that Minnick died from blunt force trauma to the head after original reports indicated he was shot to death. His 1995 red Chevy Suburban was also missing from his residence. Osler, who most recently had also been living at the residence, was immediately identified as a suspect in the murder and was located by agents at the Imperial Motel in Murfreesboro. He was arrested by TBI and the Shelbyville Police Department without incident. Minnick’s vehicle was also located in Murfreesboro. Investigators believe Osler and Minnick got into an argument and physical altercation at the residence over money.
