Shooting on Sun Circle & S. University Street

An 18-year old man was shot in the leg during an incident near the intersection of Sun Circle and South University Street.

Murfreesboro Police Officer Jeremy Fox reports he and Officer Thomas Troutman located the victim in front of 420 South University around 8:10pm Friday. The 18-year old was found to be shot in the leg. K-9 units were brought in to track, but were unable locate a suspect.

The suspect was described as a black male with dreadlocks and was wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans at the time of the shooting. He was last seen running toward Hancock Street toward Sun Circle.

On Saturday, Officer Haley Richards reports being called to a home in the 300 block of Hancock Street. Shell casings were found the night before in her driveway. However, Saturday, she discovered a bullet hit her home. It was found in the bathroom floor. The round had traveled through a wall, her bathroom tub and landed in the floor.
