A shooting suspect has been apprehended in LaVergne. The arrest stems from an incident that took place on January 24, 2018.

Looking back to January, LaVergne Police responded to a shooting call at the Kings Ridge Apartments on Waldron Road. Upon arrival, officers discovered a man who had been shot in his lower torso. The shooter had already left the area.

The victim was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment with a non-life threatening injury.

Police told WGNS the shooter and victim knew each other and were involved in a physical altercation which ended in the suspect producing a handgun and firing the weapon at the victim.

The shooter was later alleged to be 19 year old Jason Hill. He was located and captured on Monday (2/19/18). Hill has been charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Reckless Endangerment.
