Murfreesboro Police are investigating several calls of gunshots in the East State Street area. Just before three o'clock Saturday, a home owner in the 600 block of East State Street called police after finding several bullet holes in the walls and windows being broken out by gunshots. The responding officers did find several .40 caliber bullets during their initial investigation. A neighbor also told police after hearing what sounded like fire crackers, she saw a truck speeding down East State Street and someone was shooting out of the back of it. Police report that earlier in the day, there were two reports of gun shots in the area of University Street and Sun Circle. Nothing was found by authorities during their patrol during that time.
