Siegel High School Spectrum Volunteerism Seminar

Siegel High School Spectrum teacher Jeannie Cain recently conducted a Volunteerism Seminar. During the event, teens learned the importance of volunteering in their community.

Mrs. Cain oversees classes that are for intellectually gifted students and assists students in developing skills or strategies that will be beneficial to pursue the transitional goals of being a competitive college applicant. extracurricular activities, volunteering are just two of her areas of focus.

Participants in the Volunteer Seminar: Danielle Shields from the Center for the Arts, Dianne Hall from Read to Succeed, Toni Laubacher from Special Kids, Rachel Blackburn from the Stones River National Battlefield, Madden Purcell from the Discovery Center, Megan Hutchings from Habitat for Humanity, and Michael Burrows from Beyond Aquatics were on hand to discuss opportunities for serving the community as well as possible careers.
