A 23-year old Smyrna man has been arrested after a road rage incident lands him in jail on drug charges. Sterling Williams was arrested after a Murfreesboro Police officer spoke with the 64-year old victim from Springfield. The victim reported Williams drifted into his lane, began yelling at him and making threats. The victim followed Williams to a parking lot on North Thompson Lane to Robertson Family Water. Turns out that's where Williams was employed.

Officer Richard Whitley walked by the pickup truck, driven by Williams and could smell a strong odor of marijuana. After the suspect told the officer he did make geastures and yell at the victim, Whitley asked to search his vehicle. Williams, who reportedly told police the smell of marijuana could have been coming from cars passing on the roadway, allowed the officer to search the vehicle. Inside, he allegedly found over one-ounce of marijuana, rolling papers, a grinder, scales and scissors.
