Smyrna Police say they have identified the suspects in an incident at K-Mart at 333 N. Lowry Street. On April 5th, a male and female entered the store that's near the Smyrna Town Centre. After entering K-Mart, they allegedly placed several electric razors in a bag and attempted to leave the store without paying for the merchandise.

When confronted by loss prevention, the unknown male assaulted the officer. He then dropped the merchandise and both the male and female ran out of the store.

Smyrna Police Chief Kevin Arnold told WGNS in an email, "We have identified the subjects. The male subject is Richard Jason Hartman, 38 years of age, last known address of 205 Cheatham Avenue, Smyrna. Warrants have been obtained for Mr. Hartman’s arrest.

The female subject is a juvenile.

Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of Mr. Hartman are asked to contact Detective Alan Nabours at the Smyrna Police Department at 615-459-6644."
