Smyrna Police need your help in finding a robbery suspect. The unidentified black man is suspected of holding up the Mapco on Almaville Road Sunday morning around 4:45.

Police say he waited until the cash register was open, then produced a black handgun, grabbed the cash from the drawer and fled.

He is described as a thin black male, in his late 30's or early 40's and was wearing blue jeans, a black shirt and a hat with ear flaps at the time of the robbery.

Police in Smyrna also say a second suspect was waiting outside in a Chevy S-10 pickup truck.

This could be the same person suspected of holding up the Exxon gas station on Fortress Drive in Murfreesboro just a few minutes before the Smyrna robbery. The suspect description is the same.

If you have information that could lead to the arrest of the suspect or suspects, you're encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at 615-893-STOP.
