Smyrna Police Seek Attempted Robbery Suspect

Smyrna Police are on the lookout for a suspect who attempted to rob a West Sam Ridley Parkway pharmacy. Detective Allan Nabours tells NewsRadio WGNS Wednesday around 1:49pm, a white male wearing a camouflage visor, plaid shirt and blue jeans walked into the Healthmax Pharmacy located at 599 W. Sam Ridley Parkway in Smyrna.

He reportedly handed the pharmacist a written note which said, "This is a Robbery, give me all your Opana E.R. tablets." He instructed the pharmacist not to touch anything or hit the panic button.

The pharmacist was able to get away without any harm to him or giving up any controlled substances to the robbery suspect. The robbery suspect ran out the front door empty handed.
