There was live music, fun activities for area youth, and a moment to gather around the Blue Angels memorial honoring US Marine Captain Jeff Kauss, who died when his F/A-18C Hornet crashed near the Sam Davis Home a day before the 2016 Smyrna Air Show.

The activities began at 5:30 Wednesday night and included a tremendous fireworks display.
