Smyrna woman arrested after leaving the scene of a pedestrian accident involving 15-year old

Smyrna Police Chief Kevin Arnold says when officers arrived they found the victim, a 15 year old female, lying in the grass with obvious injuries. Preliminary investigation revealed that a 1994 Subaru Legacy driven by Beth Lynn Uhrine, 32 of Smyrna, struck the pedestrian. Last Friday, Uhrine was arrested in connection with the accident. The Smyrna woman was charged with leaving the scene of an accident, filing a false report, reckless driving and failure to render aid. Uhrine, was processed and released after she posted a bond of $8,000. We were told that the 15-year old survived the accident, but her condition is not being released. Dan Eidem, NewsRadio WGNS.
