Snow Causes Headaches for Local Prep Basketball Teams

While the snow day may have been appreciated by most students and teachers, it has caused headaches for basketball coaches trying to wrap up the regular season in anticipation of tournaments starting next week.

District 7-Triple-A teams are still have league games to get in before the tournament. All of those games have been rescheduled. Stewarts Creek at Siegel and Blackman at Smyrna have both been moved to Wednesday. Both games will also tip at 5pm for the girls game with the boys to follow. La Vergne at Riverdale will be made up next Tuesday, February 16th at 6pm for the girl's tip.

Eagleville at McEwen was postponed Monday to Tuesday. However, this non-league game has now been cancelled altogether.

Middle Tennessee Christian was set to host Cascade Monday night. That game was postponed and will likely be cancelled since Cascade also lost their Tuesday game with Huntland.

The only game being played tonight (Tuesday) is DeKalb County at Central Magnet. The game has been moved up to 5pm for the start of the girls game with boys to follow.
