Why did the lights go out in one part of Murfreesboro during Sunday night's Super Bowl?

Murfreesboro Electric Department's Amy Byers told WGNS that winds downed lines near Strike and Spare Bowling on Northwest Broad Street around 8:00 o'clock Sunday night (2/4/2018).

Management at the Premiere Six Movie Theatre noted their screens went dark and patrons were given "make good" tickets. Toot's Restaurant and surrounding businesses were also without electricity for a period of time.

Byers said that power was restored to most of the area within a few hours, however the bowling alley was without power longer. In fact, crews were back on Monday (2/5/18) to replace a utility pole and repair the lines.

All is well now and power was fully restored.
