Brian Virgil Gammon was found deceased in Shelbyville, Tennessee on Tuesday. The cause of death for 36 year old Gammon has not been released at this point by Shelbyville Police.

Gammon proudly served our country in the United States Army. His most recent tour of duty was in Afghanistan.

Brian was the son of Virgil Gammon, the former Deputy Chief of the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office.

His father Virgil Gammon wrote on FaceBook:

My son Brian, who served his country in the US Army, lost his battle today with the pain he has been in. He had served in Afghanistan and never returned home the same. PTSD. I love you son. Something I can never say to him again.
