Although the weather is not supporting it, Spring is here and Easter is around the corner. Thank goodness, the Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation Department is ramping up for Spring with several varieties of Easter egg events. This includes the more "out of the box" underwater hunt as well as the "more traditional" hidden in grassy field approach.

The Aquatics division invites the youngsters to enjoy this one-of-a-kind Under Water Egg Hunt. Eggs aren't just under cabbage leaves anymore! Help us gather all the eggs off the pool floor. There will be plenty of eggs to be found by all. Make sure to bring a plastic bag or waterproof basket to hold your eggs while you're having fun in this egg hunting adventure in the water!

Again, the event is free. For more information please call the Aquatics Department at 615-893-7439.

Citywide Easter Egg Hunt

Participants will hunt for eggs and then exchange them for prizes at the park's egg-change booth. Age appropriate hunts will be offered repeatedly throughout the event, ensuring that everyone has a fair chance.

In addition, there will be carnival-style games and a visit from the Easter Bunny.
