Panasonic Corporation of North America donated 480 long-range baby monitors to Ascension Saint Thomas for use by low-income Middle Tennessee families.

Not only will they be distributed this week to expectant parents at Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital here in Murfreesboro, but also to Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital and Saint Thomas Medical Partners' Holy Family Health Center in Nashville. The remaining monitors will be gifted to families in need through various Ascension Saint Thomas-led outreach programs.

St. Thomas' Vice President of Women's, Children's, and Oncology Services Kristen Toth said, "Ascension Saint Thomas is incredibly grateful to Panasonic for their generous donation. The baby monitors will benefit hundreds of families across the Middle Tennessee area as they are distributed in hospitals, physician practices, and at the upcoming Medical Mission at Home."

The Panasonic Long-Range Baby Monitor promotes infant safety with features such as Digital Enhanced Cordless Technology, which allows for secure, interference-free connection through an independent closed network.

Panasonic Foundation Executive Director Alejandra Ceja noted, "We know there are great expenses that come with a new baby, and underserved families often struggle to afford the bare necessities. Our corporate culture is anchored in contributing to society and we want this contribution to give those families one less item to worry about."
