Dr. Bryan Terry will be the new State Representative in District 48, succeeding Joe Carr who ran for U.S. Senate. Terry, a Murfreesboro physician, says healthcare will be a big issue for the upcoming General Assembly...

Dr. Terry, a republican, defeated democrat Bill Campbell 67-percent (9,065) to 33-percent (4,485).

Sparks says one issue he'll raise in the next General Assembly will be the cost of textbooks for college students. He adds the budget, education and healthcare will remain big concerns on Capitol Hill in Nashville.
