The State of Tennessee has re-launched its transparency website in an effort to offer more user-friendly information to taxpayers.
The site, which is tn.gov/opengov/, provides a one-stop shop for searching public data on how state dollars are spent. This includes a searchable checkbook with interactive data related to state agency expenses, vendor payments and travel reimbursements.
The site also has a "public opportunities" section that links to public meetings, open records information and a page for feedback. There also prominent links to state audits and the state salary database.
