State House Speaker Beth Harwell has announced the formation of a task force to look into improving and expanding TennCare.

The announcement came from the State Capitol as lawmakers look to develop a plan to state lawmakers to improve healthcare access in Tennessee.

This is on the heels of last year's defeat of "Insure Tennessee," which was endorsed by Governor Hallam but turned back by lawmakers in a special session. "Insure Tennessee" called for extended coverage to about 280-thousand Tennesseans.
