State Tourney: Riverdale Cruises to Final Four

The defending Class Triple-A girls state champions built a comfortable lead against Morristown West and cruised to a 75-46 win. Everyone seemed to be on "ankle watch," as questions of how the injury suffered in the sectional win over Cumberland County would effect senior guard Anastasia Hayes...


The 18 points she had was plenty to help defeat the Lady Trojans and much of it was because Coach Randy Coffman says his team shared the ball well...


Brinae Alexander chipped in 16 pionts and had five rebounds in the game and Alexis Whittington had 12 points.

While Coffman says their number one state and national ranking isn't something they spend a lot of time talking about...

Alexander says living up to those lofty rankings is something that motivates the team...

Riverdale will face Houston from the Memphis / Germantown area on Friday at 11:30 in the state's final four.
