Stewarts Creek Middle School to host its third annual fundraising pageant

On Saturday, May 7, 2016, Stewarts Creek Middle School (Smyrna, TN) will once again host its third annual fundraising pageant for the Family Career and Community Leaders of America. Funds from the pageant will send four students and their advisor, Ms. Tabitha Herrin, to San Diego, California to compete in STARR events on the national level this summer.

Ryleigh Herrin & Taylor Murry will be presenting their Chapter Service Project Portfolio, Adopt a Platoon and Lucie Myers & Hope Thornton will be presenting their Chapter in Review Portfolio, Eat Like the Locals.

This year, the pageant will feature emcees Matthew Torres from News Channel 5 in Nashville and SCMS social studies teacher and the 2015 Mrs. Middle Tennessee United States, Holly Alexander. Pageant judges include Smyrna Mayor Mary Esther Reed, Mary Allyson McGinnis, Miss Murfreesboro 2016, Miss MTSU, Mary Grace Wolkonowski, and the Miss Macon County pageant director, Krystal Sallee. The reigning Outstanding Teen, representing Music Row, Anna Grace Smith, will be performing during the night's festivities.

Twenty eight girls and sixteen boys will compete for the titles of Ms. and Mr. SCMS as well as Ms. Photogenic, Ms. Congeniality and 1st, 2nd and 3rd runners up.

The pageant is open to the public and costs five dollars for entry. It will be held in the school's auditorium.
