Stolen Vehicle & Golf Clubs from Franklin Recovered in Murfreesboro

A Toyota Sequoia and golf clubs reported stolen by Franklin Police were recovered when suspects tried to sell the golf clubs at Play It Again Sports.

Police Officer Mick Rea reports being called to the Thompson Lane business on Friday morning just after 10 o'clock in reference to suspicious subjects. After blocking the SUV, the two subjects from inside the store and the driver all began to run. They were apprehended in front of Ashley Furniture on Thompson Lane a short time later.

Arrested were 20-year old Matthew Musovich of Alden Cove in Smyrna, 20-year old Ethan Stahl of Wellington Place in Murfreesboro and 22-year old Timothy Coltharp of Eclipse Drive of Smyrna.

They were each charged with theft over 10-thousand dollars for the SUV, theft over one-thousand dollars for the golf clubs. A Glock 19 was also recovered inside the vehicle. Additonal charges of possession of a weapon during a felony, resisting arrest and simple possession of marijuana were added. All three have a General Sessions Court date of July 19th.

The SUV was released to the owner while the other items were taken into evidence by Murfreesboro Police.
