Stolen Vehicle Reports Increase in Past 5-Days in Murfreesboro

Murfreesboro Police are on a role with the recovery of stolen vehicles lately. In the past 5 days a total of 4 vehicles were reported as being stolen and out of the four, three have been recovered. The most recent recovery took place on Tuesday when officers responded to a suspicious vehicle call at the end of Sewanee Place. Sewanee Place is off of Indian Park Drive near the Barfield Community.

When police approached the GMC Yukon, they realized the doors were unlocked. The SUV was reported as stolen in Murfreesboro. Dispatch notified the rightful owner of the SUV and he responded to take possession of it within a matter of minutes. There are no known suspects at this time.

On the same day police recovered a stolen Lincoln MKX. The mid-sized SUV was found parked on Poplar Avenue near the two Mitchell Neilson School’s. The owner of the SUV who owns a bail bonding company, arrived on the scene and took the SUV. So far, no arrests have been made in stolen Lincoln case.
