Stones River Mall recently presented Beesley Animal Foundation with a $2,000 donation generated from ticket sales collected during last year's Breakfast with Santa.

"We partner with Doggie's Day Out and various animal rescues throughout the year during Paws & Claus and Wags & Whiskers, our pet nights with Santa and the Easter Bunny," explains Melinda Noblitt, Marketing & Events Manager for Stones River Mall. "This donation comes directly from Breakfast with Santa ticket sales, so we have our shoppers to thank for helping us support such a wonderful organization."

Beesley Animal Foundation's mission is to educate the community about responsible pet care and to offer financial assistance to help qualified residents spay or neuter their cat or dog.

"We thank Stones River Mall for this wonderful contribution to the programs of the Beesley Animal Foundation," said Amanda Oliver, Beesley Animal Foundation Executive Director. "These monies will go toward helping those in need to spay or neuter their cat or dog."

Beesley Animal Foundation operates Beesley Animal Clinic, which was founded by Jesse C. Beesley, a local noted sculptor, who was instrumental in forming the first humane society in Rutherford County in 1976. He inspired the formation of the spay/neuter clinic in 1992.

Beesley is especially proud of being instrumental in establishing the requirement that all adopted animals be spayed/neutered, and in support of that requirement Beesley operates an affordable spay/neuter clinic where approximately 250 surgeries (both shelter adoptions and public pets) are performed each month. Since the opening of our clinic in May 1992, the clinic's staff has performed thousands of surgeries.
