He found inspiration to write this story from some of his favorite video games and stories such as Elder Scrolls, Lord of the Rings, Hobbit and Star Wars.

The Heart of a Dragon tells the story of 18-year-old Drake Miles, who acquires the power of the dragon. He must find out to use his power to defeat the Three Mages who are threatening to destroy his realm. Emerge yourself in the world of Skyhelm and follow along with Drake as he embarks on a journey to save his homeland.

Aida Mercer

Mercer shares with the reader the life of a man who was very active in the military, had lots of hobbies, and who was a major influence in her life. The new author says that the process of writing this book has been both crazy and amazing.

Chelsey Zhu

Chelsey Zhu, author of Spiritology, is a 16 year-old aspiring writer at Central Magnet School. She realized writing would be a huge part of her life when she finished her first (5 page) novel in 5th grade. Since then, she has come up with (and discarded) countless novel ideas, but has been working on Spiritology for more than a year. Zhu's writing skills were noted when she placed second in the International Junior Author's Contest for the short story "Midnight Conversation."

The authors will be signing and selling their books for $7 each, and cash only will be accepted.

The class is taught by Cynthia Salvage who created this year-long class project of writing novellas. Lightening Source partnered with the school to help them self-publish.
