A victim in his late teens in the Rutherford County area was the target of a blackmail in recent days. The subject called the authorities after he was contacted by an individual whom he allegedly had contact with in a sexually explicit video chat. The person on the other end of the chat told the victim he recorded the video and was going to send it to the victims’ friends and family members if he did not pay the suspect $700.

According to the report WGNS obtained, the victim was contacted by the culprit on FaceBook. The subject may have been in California, but that cannot be confirmed. No arrests have been made.
