Suicide: A big problem in society and two were reported in Murfreesboro over the Labor Day weekend

Suicide is the third leading cause of death among young adults in Tennessee. Those statistics also hold true in Rutherford County.

There were two suicides reported in Murfreesboro over the extended Labor Day Weekend. On both cases, the male victims were under the age of 45. There were also multiple reports of attempted suicide reported in Murfreesboro over the past several days.

Suicide is the third leading cause of death among youth and young adults in the Volunteer State. Statistics in Tennessee prove that annual deaths by suicide are about twice that of deaths by homicide. Read more details HERE.
