Suicide Attempts are Up in Murfreesboro in Past Two Days

At least four attempted suicides were reported in Murfreesboro over the past two days. Suicide rates typically increase as we near Thanksgiving and Christmas however, four attempts in two days seems to be more than usual. As previously reported, an estimated 900 men, women and children commit suicide each year in our state — more people than are lost to homicide, AIDS or drunken driving.
