A Sunset Avenue man has been charged with violating the sex offender registry. Forty-two year old James Kasiah was arrested by Murfreesboro Police Wednesday just before 4pm after he admitted to staying in the home since December 20th. He admitted to talking with a detective, who told him he couldn't stay there since there was a 16-year old in the home and he was a convicted sex offender. Kasiah was arrested and charged with violation of the sex offender registry, failing to report his address and three counts of residential restriction. He was jailed on 10-thousand dollars bond and will be in General Sessions Court on March 18th.
