Murfreesboro has apparently seen its share of vandalism and burglaries in the Riverdale area in recent days. Someone has been tagging things with the numbers “5150.” The question now is… who is doing the tagging and who is breaking into cars in the South side of Murfreesboro.

A total of seven break-in’s were reported on Cliffview Drive this week. Cliffview is directly off of Warrior Drive. In one case, the 17-year old suspect stole all of $2 out of a truck. In another case, a single set of headphones were taken.

As far as catching the suspect… he was caught on tape in the area of the Rutherford County Schools office. The teen will soon face charges in Juvenile court. WGNS can not release any more details on the case because of the fact that the suspect is a teen.

So why would anyone tag anything with the numbers “5150?” WGNS headed to the ultra contemporary Urban Dictionary where we learned that 5150 was, “California Police code for crazy one on the loose. Danger to property, danger to others, and danger to themselves.”
