A 28-year old Murfreesboro man was pulled over in his Kia because Murfreesboro Police Sgt. Hathaway had prior knowledge that the subject was driving on a revoked license. The stop of Lorenzo Brown was made on West Main Street.

When Sgt. Hathaway walked up to the car he noted, "I could smell an order of non-burnt marijuana emitting from the vehicle." Sgt. Hathaway asked Brown if he had anything illegal in the car and Brown reportedly handed the Sgt. A bag of marijuana. When asked if anything else was in the car, the subject turned suspect pulled out a second bag that contained what was believed to be crack cocaine.

After police arrested Brown, they seized his two cell phones and placed them into evidence. Brown was transported to the local jail where he was placed under a $13,500 bond. His court date will be in November.
